In the UK, Steve Evans has returned to Harris Interactive after a two year absence, as a Research Director working for music, film and entertainment clients; and providing insights into the digital consumer to the firm's Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) clients.
Evans rejoins Harris Interactive from Entertainment Media Research, where as Research Director he was responsible for designing and implementing research projects on behalf of high-profile artists and major media companies. For the nine years prior to this, he was Consumer Research Director at Harris, and before this, he worked on the client side at Rank Leisure.
Jinty Weldon, Head of TMT at Harris Interactive, commented: 'We're delighted to welcome Steve back. His excellent client relationship skills and technical research knowledge, coupled with his expertise in the entertainment and music sector, will further bolster the success of our growing TMT team. He will be a great asset to the company.'
In the UK, Harris Interactive's European headquarters is based in Brentford, Middlesex and the firm has additional offices in Maidenhead, Berkshire and in Manchester. It merged its Technology, Media and Telecoms divisions in October 2007 and now has a 35-strong TMT team.
Earlier in the year, the firm announced plans to make between fifteen and twenty full-time employees redundant, to help 'align the cost structure of its UK operations with the evolving needs of the business'.
