US market research data collection agency MRops has opened a division to help clients build and manage online communities, and appointed Jeff Berg as Head of the new practice.
Prior to joining, Berg developed the proprietary panel practices at both TNS and Socratic Technologies, where he was responsible for developing private panels and communities for clients. He has also held research roles at Factor TG and Market Strategies, and has a BA in Economics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.
The new MR-Communities service combines web 2.0 technology with the firm's community management expertise.
'Organizations are using online communities to engage with customers and prospects to generate new ideas, evaluate positioning and advertising, and identify emerging trends,' said Berg. 'MR-communities empowers our clients to rapidly collect both qualitative and quantitative data from a single research platform.'
Doylestown, Pennsylvania-headquartered MRops provides integrated market research data collection and reporting services for B2B, healthcare and international ad hoc and tracking programs. The company, which also has offices in Indiana, San Francisco and India, is online at www.mrops.com .
