In New York, Nielsen has appointed David Rawlinson as a member of both its Board of Directors and its Audit Committee.
Rawlinson (pictured) currently serves as President of Online Business for maintenance, repair and operating products supplier W.W. Grainger, where he is responsible for profit and loss, operations, strategy and continued growth and expansion of the firm’s global online business. In addition, he was one of three founding Managing Directors of Zoro Tools Europe, Grainger’s first online business in Europe.
Before joining Grainger in 2012 as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Rawlinson held executive roles with ITT Exelis, formerly ITT Corp. He also previously served as a White House Fellow, and he held positions in both the Bush and Obama Administrations. While in the latter, Rawlinson served as a Senior Advisor for Economic Policy with the White House National Economic Council, where he worked on the financial crisis and initiatives to spur new business growth.
