Advertising intelligence company Integral Ad Science (IAS) has appointed Tony Lucia as CTO, starting April 1st.
IAS's solutions aim to help establish a 'safer, more effective advertising ecosystem'. The firm is headquartered in New York with global operations in thirteen countries.
Lucia, who will be based in New York and report to CEO Lisa Utzschneider, will oversee the R&D team, partner with the product team to pursue 2019 goals, drive AWS migration and focus on further investment and growth for the engineering and data science teams.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare and media tech sectors, joining from Patients Like Me where he was SVP, Software and Data Engineering. Earlier he held roles including SVP, Data Strategy and Data Science at IAC Applications, and CTO of Thomson Reuters Healthcare.
Utzschneider says of the hiring, 'We conducted an extensive search for the role of CTO and Tony exceeded our expectations. He is a strong entrepreneurial executive that has experience scaling a global technology team, the ability to identify disruptive solutions that solve for customer needs, and is passionate about data and the role data insights play in strategic business decisions today'.
Lucia says his number one priority is 'to ensure the software and data engineering teams are meeting the goals of our customers'.
