In the US, San Francisco-based enterprise data connectivity and analytics platform LiveRamp has promoted Diego Panama to Chief Commercial Officer, and Grant Ries to Executive Vice President of Emerging Markets.
LiveRamp was acquired by Acxiom Corporation in 2014, but by 2018 had become such a key part of it, that Acxiom
sold its original Marketing Solutions business (AMS) to marcoms giant Interpublic Group for $2.3bn in cash, with the remaining unit taking the LiveRamp name. The company also has US offices in New York, Philadelphia, Little Rock and Boston, as well as international offices in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo and Nantong.
Panama joined seven years ago as MD, Strategic Accounts, and most recently served as SVP, Revenue. Earlier, he held multiple product and sales roles at Microsoft. Ries, who is the founder of big data audience targeting platform
BlueKai (acquired by Oracle in 2014), joined LiveRamp via the acquisition of digital advertising B2B data marketplace Pacific Data Partners, a company he co-founded, and most recently, he served as CEO of LiveRamp B2B.
In their new positions, Panama will oversee all revenue-generating activities, and Ries will focus on continuing to expand LiveRamp's presence in new business sectors outside of advertising and marketing. CEO
Scott Howe comments: 'Diego is a highly motivational leader and embodies the technical expertise, business acumen and focus on execution needed to oversee LiveRamp's commercial organization. Grant brings proven entrepreneurial expertise and a unique perspective on strategic business growth to his new role. We look forward to continuing to benefit from Diego's and Grant's valuable contributions in these expanded roles.'
