In New York, zero-party data marketing platform Octane AI has appointed Alex Gurevich as Vice President of Finance and Operations, while Vincent Silvey joins in the newly created role of Vice President of Engineering.
Octane AI helps merchants collect data directly from shoppers via its Shop Quiz and Conversational Pop-up product and uses that data across marketing channels like the web site, e-mail, ads, SMS and Facebook Messenger to personalize the customer journey. Recently, the company raised
$5m in a round of funding, which it will use to help shopify merchants personalize eCommerce experiences.
Gurevich joins from Credit Karma, where he served as Head of Business Operations, prior to which, he worked for Zendesk as Senior Director, Strategic Planning & Operations, and he was an Associate at McKinsey & Company. Silvey was previously VP of Engineering at Campaign Monitor, having earlier been Director of Software Engineering at PowerSchool Group, and Director Software Engineering at J.D. Power's Autodata Solutions.
