Angus Reid - CEO
Angus Reid is the CEO of Vision Critical and its global public opinion practice Angus Reid Strategies. In the research business for 40 years, Angus has been the recipient of a Canada Council Doctoral Fellowship, the Entrepreneur of the Year award, and the Marketer Hall of Fame (2009).
From 1979 to 2001, he was founder and CEO of Angus Reid Group, a market research supplier that grew into the largest research firm in Canada, with revenues of $60 million. It was sold to Ipsos SA in 2000. In 2004, Angus became CEO of Vision Critical joining his son Andrew's revolutionizing and fast growing online panel company. Shortly after, Angus created Angus Reid Strategies to leverage Vision Critical's technologies and deliver new ways of conducting market research. Angus has written numerous columns on economic, social and political issues and well as the best-seller; "Shakedown: How the New Economy is Changing our Lives" (1996). He has a B.A. and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Manitoba, and in 1974 he received a Ph.D. in Sociology from Carleton University in Ottawa.
