Bruce Friend - President, Ipsos OTX MediaCT
Bruce Friend was appointed President, Ipsos OTX MediaCT upon the acquisition of OTX by Ipsos in March 2010, and is responsible for all MediaCT related business activities for the United States. Bruce joined OTX in 2003 and as President of OTX Client Development oversaw the client service, marketing and sales functions at the company across all of its divisions.
Before OTX, he held the position of SVP of Research for the Columbia TriStar Worldwide Marketing Group, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. In this position, he was responsible for all research-related activities for the production, marketing and distribution of Sony Pictures releases, covering the theatrical, digital marketing and distribution platforms.
Bruce has nearly 30 years of global experience in multi-media and entertainment brand research and strategic planning. He has also worked in management positions at The Disney Channel, Home Box Office, Telemundo Group Inc., Saatchi & Saatchi and Y&R Advertising.
Bruce has been an active member of, among others, the Media Ratings Council, the Advertising Research Council and ESOMAR. He is also involved in a variety of community/academic activities and in 1999 Bruce received the prestigious Chancellor’s Award (the highest honor bestowed by the University) from the University of Massachusetts.
