Helen Gawor - Managing Director, Connect Insight
Helen is Managing Director of Connect Insight, the digital research consultancy founded in 2007. Connect Insight specialise in helping businesses use digital research and data to support commercial and brand strategy. Previously Helen headed up the Commercial Strategy team for Orange and had responsibility for B2B marketing and media research. At Connect Insight Helen works with advertisers, agencies, publishers and industry bodies both in the UK and further afield.
Digital media and advertising are Helen’s specialist topics and after being an early dotcom evangelist, Helen is now viewed as an authority on consumer digital behaviour and the role that digital media plays in consumers’ lives. At Orange, Helen was responsible for pioneering research into the role digital media plays in consumers’ media mix and supporting media agencies and advertisers with digital media research. She was heavily involved in major industry initiatives through the IAB, EIAA and worked on the early stages of IPA’s Touchpoints research and UKOM.
In 2006, Campaign magazine awarded Helen the title of Best Media Research for her work into the appeal of different online ad formats in different environments. She has advised the World Federation of Advertisers on digital issues such as measuring children online and compliance with the EU Pledge, and conducted IAB UK’s Mobile and Other Media study into how mobile media is consumed alongside other media. She will be Chairing the MRS Advertising Research Conference in July 2011.
