In the US, digital analytics platform Amplitude has appointed Andrew Casey as its new Chief Financial Officer, filling a gap left by the sudden departure of Christopher Harms in May.
San Francisco-based Amplitude provides product, data and marketing teams with a holistic view of the customer journey, including product usage analysis / understanding and other customer behavior data. Its offer includes a product experiment platform, Amplitude Experiment, which helps clients simplify A/B testing and run concurrent experiments without exposing users to more than one testing scenario at a time.
Casey (pictured) brings more than 25 years of enterprise software experience, including enterprise Go-To-Market strategy and business operations as well as finance. He joins from Lacework, where he was CFO and oversaw the firm's successful acquisition by Fortinet. Earlier he was CFO of WalkMe, leading its IPO; and he held senior finance roles with ServiceNow, Hewlett-Packard, NortonLifeLock Inc. (formerly Symantec), Oracle, and Sun Microsystems.
In his new role he will lead Amplitude's General & Administrative organization, including finance, accounting and legal.
CEO and co-founder Spenser Skates comments: 'I've never been more confident in Amplitude's future. We've worked hard to improve every part of our business over the past year, and Andrew's extensive experience and strategic vision will be invaluable as we continue to re-accelerate growth. He knows what it takes to win in the long term, and I look forward to partnering with him as Amplitude transforms the digital analytics landscape'.
The firm said the departure of Harms was 'not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the Company's accounting principles or practices or financial statements and disclosures', but did not give further details of the reasons behind it.
