Job Spec: Our client is global, niche and has been successful for over 25 years in the area of brands: valuation, strategy and consultancy. Globally, regionally and locally the client portfolio is tier one across a wide range of industries and sectors. The agency is expanding in Australia, with focus also in Asia, and requires a Senior Manager/Director to lead and direct business growth.
This is a totally new role. As such the actual job description will be written around the skills, experience and expertise of the desired employee. Some bullet points as a guide re the role:
- At least 12+ years' experience
- Hands-on quantitative experience, ideally familiar with market mix modelling
- Ideally working familiarity with media sector
- Focus is on enhancing relationships with a portfolio of existing clients
- Liaison with existing personnel based in Sydney, undertaking different continuous projects
- Reporting to Regional Director based in Singapore
- Geographic focus is Asia
- Sydney is a preferred, but not essential, base.
The major areas of responsibility are:
- Client
- Contribute to building and refining the marketing and sales strategy in Australia and Asia
- Identify key clients' prospects for syndicated and ad hoc services
- Develop compelling credentials presentations and proposals that clearly connect client needs with agency capabilities and USPs
- Establish good working relationships with clients by maintaining a friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, 'can-do' attitude in formal and informal conversations
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery to clients in order to strengthen loyalty and encourage repeat business
- Deliver insightful reporting with a clear narrative that sets up a strong set of conclusions and recommendations
- Proactively support other offices with their research needs and contribute to the development of the global research team.
- Team
- Build, manage, develop and motivate the team
- Work closely with the Regional Managing Director to manage and develop the local and global research teams
- Identify requirements for full-time and freelance staff to support the anticipated workload and ensure the company has the requisite skills, and capacity to achieve business objectives
- Oversee training, development and mentoring of the research team, including both formal training and 'on the job' feedback and guidance
- Oversee allocation of workload across the research team, monitor progress and provide support where needed
