The Company

Established in markets across the globe and with an impressive list of blue-chip clients, this global consultancy is looking to expand their internal insights and intelligence arm by bringing on board a Research Executive (RE) or Senior Research Executive (SRE) to their Sydney team!

Combining primary market research (quantitative and qualitative) with social listening, media insights, AI, predictive analytics, and strategic consulting, the insights team help global and local organisations build trusting relationships with people, making communications exciting, and connections meaningful.


The Role

The role of a Research Executive is to support across a range of projects from briefing to delivery, playing a key role in the development and execution of research (primary and secondary, quant and qual) and project management - project scoping, costing and budget management. You will analyse quant and qual data, pulling together insights stories and making strategic recommendations to clients with big long-term impacts on brands, businesses, and society.

Projects will be an eclectic mix from understanding the impact of a government policy, tracking opinions within gender equality, or segmenting the digital population for an online fashion retailer.

Clients span across all industries, and you will have the opportunity to work with big names in technology, finance, pharma, retail and government.

As your experience and expertise grows you will be given increased responsibility when it comes to client management, and you will work closely with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and participate in meetings with external clients and internal partners.


About you

  • You will have c.1-2 years of experience in commercial research, ideally gained within an agency environment
  • Ideally comfortable working as a dualist across quantitative and qualitative methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - with strong Excel, Word processing and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise/manage multiple deadlines within a project scope and budget
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, written and oral communications skills
  • Great sense of ownership and enjoy taking initiative, innovating and challenging the status quo.
