Job Spec: Our client are a Global research agency that are entwined in society and famous for thought leadership and polling. They continue to have fantastic successes and growth stories in their public research practice. They are looking for an Associate Director to join their highly successful Policy and Evaluation Unit. A multi-disciplinary team of economists and evaluation specialists and researchers who work across all areas of public policy.
The focus of this role is on evaluating the impact and effectiveness of public policies, programmes and interventions and drawing conclusions/ providing recommendations to help UK and global clients set policy priorities, improve effectiveness, and strengthen delivery. They seek an able, energetic and dynamic evaluator to lead on high profile studies which inform policy and service delivery across a wide range of policy areas including environment, sustainability, economic development and infrastructure on behalf of clients including government departments, NGOs and charities.
Fascinating and big picture topics such as net zero, climate resilience, clean growth, nature recovery, industrial decarbonisation, low carbon innovation, regional economic development, active travel, and productivity growth. The projects this team undertake tend to be large scale, both in terms of challenge and budget, and they tend to be very high profile.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Evaluator with a good understanding of economic policy, including market barriers and challenges and why Government might intervene (strategic case assessments). The role will suit someone with a passion for policy themes including innovation, regional economic development, industrial and infrastructure policy, business and competition.
The client embrace hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home. They have offices in London, Manchester and Edinburgh and welcome applications from candidates able to work from one of these offices.
