This business sells media both directly to clients (from small local businesses to large global brand leaders) and through media agencies. This role will see you working alongside the commercial team to both help them put together compelling pitches and to provide insight around ad effectiveness. Essentially you will ensure that data and insight are at the heart of the commercial storytelling.
You will also be responding to ad hoc requests from advertisers and using insight to create compelling case studies to showcase the organisation's proposition and resulting success. And you will be proactively looking ahead to identify trends - for example, thinking about what categories might be advertising 12 months ahead and helping the sales team focus on and drive growth in these.
This role will appeal to someone who likes variety and pace (that said, the work-life balance is excellent). It reports to a very impressive Head of Marketing who has a stellar track record working for leading media owners- so this is a rare opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of marketing strategy, branding and the marketing mix.
The marketing team is growing; currently this is the sole insight role in the team, but the Head of Marketing envisages that there will be a couple of insight execs reporting into this role within the year - this is the opportunity to play a key role in the development of this business. You would be so much more than a small cog in a big wheel - this is a pivotal role to the future success of this organisation.
For this role, you will need brilliant analytical and story-telling skills and a commercial mind-set. You will need experience of analysing large data sets. As importantly, we need to see confidence and excellent communication skills as well as passion and drive. This is a highly motivated team and you will need to fit in. The client is open to someone from the client or agency side - so long as you have the required skills, experience and attitude.
This is a hybrid role where everyone works in the lovely Soho office 3 days/week with more if you choose, or 2 days/week from home.
