If you're passionate about data-driven insights that influence the future of Australian media, this 14-month contract role is for you!

As a Research Manager, you'll lead high-impact projects that inform industry and government stakeholders. Reporting to the Research Projects Lead, you'll oversee an in-depth analysis of audience attitudes and behaviours across channels based on industry, syndicated and commissioned research to develop and assess the created content's social and economic impact. Collaborating with a talented team, you'll ensure the effective use of data sets to build a comprehensive understanding of current media trends and contribute to meaningful strategy.


The day-to-day:

  • Develop and deliver data-driven research to both industry and government stakeholders.
  • Conduct and oversee research on relevant policies and incentives via data analysis, literature reviews, and qualitative/quantitative research.
  • Optimise data sets for the discovery of deeper audience and content trends.
  • Assist in developing research briefs for external suppliers
  • Communicate complex research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on media, television, film, online content, and gaming trends.

You're passionate about research and excited to lead efforts to turn insights into actionable recommendations. You excel in media analytics, audience measurement, and qualitative and quantitative research and enjoy working with a collaborative, innovative team.


More about you:
  • You have a degree in a relevant discipline or 3+ years of experience in applied research (social sciences, consumer/media research).
  • You're experienced working with media, film, television, and online audience measurement data.
  • You have strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, and ideally experience in data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • An excellent organiser, your attention to detail is on point.
  • You love to communicate and share ideas freely.
  • You are a team player who has a results-driven mindset
  • You love solving problems and are curious to a fault!
