This role involves working closely with other members of the finance team, but also partnering with key business owners across other functions - notably, the People Team, Commercial and Technology.

This individual must help to set and support the tone around consistency of reporting and terminology and desire for forecasts to be both accurate and timely, and outputs to be actionable and suitable for audience whether they are finance, executive members, the board or the wider business.


Role Summary:

The FP&A Analyst will join a team who is focused on:

  • Delivering financial & management reporting efficiently and effectively on a routine basis against standard measurements and KPIs using a variety of comparators (Budget, Forecast, last year etc)
  • Ensure that the business performance systems are working and supported correctly
  • Provide support for investment and M&A related projects
  • Be involved and help to drive an increased cash focus of the business
  • Committed to producing a World Class finance service to an organization that is growing and challenging the status quo of the industry.

The key deliveries for this role will be:

Focusing on Personnel costs, recruitments plans and reporting of this:
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the SARC (control report for salary and related costs capturing ongoing costs as well as changes and recruitment plans).
  • Identification and analysis of business improvement initiatives for any 'gap-closure' requirements.
  • Working with business owners and colleagues within Finance to ensure costs are correctly categorized; both team/department and cost type (business as usual, investment etc.)
  • Arranging planning for different scenarios and probable impact that they could have on results.
  • Support the Controllership team in the month end reporting process and ensuring that Balance sheet and other internal controls are maintained
  • Helping to design and deliver on KPIs and metrics driven dashboards for each level of the business area
  • Flexibility to develop and improve processes across finance and the wider business as it goes through a significant merger process that doubled the size of the company in 2021.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Finance or a related field is desirable.
  • The individual would likely be a part or newly qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an international environment.
  • Previous experience in financial/audit roles required.
  • The ability to work independently within a matrix organization where management lines can be cross-border and on a virtual basis.
  • Organization and prioritization are important to be clear on the difference between urgent and important tasks, along with the ability to agree and communicate progress of the agreed objectives.
  • The individual must have demonstrated the ability to set and follow rules based processes, while also being pragmatic as required in a smaller (but growing) company.
  • Must possess a bias for action
  • Practical application knowledge of US GAAP would be welcomed, and IFRS or other local GAAP experience would also be beneficial, along with the experience of working in international environments and in remotely located teams.
  • The qualified candidate will confidently take their seat at the table as a key financial representative and business partner within their aligned function.
  • Comfortable with change and able to challenge the current environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity is a must.
