In the US, processing and fulfilment firm Merkle Response Management Group (RMG) has appointed consumer packaged goods specialist Phil Yamamoto as President, following the promotion of Bill Sayre to the role of CEO in March.RMG, a subsidiary of data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle, combines direct response processing, customer care and fulfilment solutions with insights for clients across the non-profit, government and commercial sectors. Yamamoto joins from waste produce delivery service Hungry Harvest, where he served as EVP of Supply Chain/Operations. Prior to this, he was Head of Supply Chain Operations at health improvement specialist Tivity Health; and he held supply chain and procurement management positions at SweetWorks Confections, Ready Pac Foods, Reiter and Core-Mark.
In his new role, Yamamoto is charged with enhancing RMG's service offerings within the non-profit sector. He replaces Sayre, who comments: 'Phil brings a fresh perspective to Merkle RMG with his strong operations and processes background. I am confident in his skills to lead our company, and Phil will undoubtedly have a positive impact on all facets of our business moving forward'.
