In the US, grocery retail giant Kroger has promoted Milen Mahadevan, COO of its data analytics subsidiary 84.51°, adding the role of President. He is now responsible for 84.51°'s day-to-day leadership, management and vision. He replaces CEO Stuart Aitken.Formed in 2015 from the assets of dunnhumbyUSA, the joint venture between retail analytics pioneer dunnhumby and Kroger, 84.51° brings together customer data, predictive analytics and marketing strategy to drive sales growth and customer loyalty for Kroger and more than 300 CPG companies.
Mahadevan (pictured) served earlier as the company's SVP, Head of Client Solutions and Capabilities, leading the strategic direction and development of the company's solutions and capabilities, as well as business strategy. Prior to this, he spent nearly fifteen years at dunnhumby, latterly as Head of Client Solutions and the Service Line Organization for dunnhumbyUSA.
Aiken, whom he now replaces, had served as 84.51° CEO since 2015, and was recently named Chief Merchant and Marketing Officer for Kroger. In addition, Kroger recently moved SVP, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Yael Cosset back to 84.51° as CEO and SVP of Alternative Business.
