In the US, full service marketing research and insight training agency Burke has appointed former Kantar exec James Sorensen as Senior Vice President in Client Services, with a specialization in retail and shopper insights.Employee-owned Burke uses research methodologies, analytical techniques and technology to support clients across various industry sectors; and provides MR and consumer insights education through The Burke Institute. Sorensen (pictured) joins after leading the Shopper Insights business in Kantar's Retail Consulting practice, before which he served as SVP, Retail & Shopper at TNS. He began his career as VP, Client Services at his family's shopping behaviour agency Sorensen Associates, where he worked for more than thirteen years prior to its acquisition by TNS in 2007. After this, he managed all aspects of the Sorensen business through the three year acquisition period.
