In the US, digital experience design and digital marketing specialist Filter has appointed Todd Paris as Chief Executive Officer; replacing Joe Melanson, who recently retired.Acquired by Merkle last year, Filter offers access to a team of designers and user experience (UX) execs, who specialize in delivering 'human-centered experiences' across digital domains and systems. The firm's research and insights team applies techniques to each project or product to uncover users' needs and motivations, and generate insights to inform business and customer experience strategies.
Paris (pictured) joins with nearly 30 years of industry experience, having worked for global digital brands such as Microsoft, KPMG Consulting and Sapient. Most recently, he worked for Deloitte Digital as Managing Director in charge of the Advertising Technology and Insights practice. In this role, Paris led innovation across cloud and programmatic technology platforms to enable brands to in-house and operationalize their digital media capabilities.
He takes over from Melanson who stepped down as CEO in July. In his new role, Paris will report to Craig Dempster, Global CEO of Merkle, who comments: 'Todd brings a great deal of experience and insight to help advance Filter's value as an in-housing partner to leading brands. He's also a strong, visionary leader and will play a key role not only in guiding Filter, but in the future of Merkle as a global leader in experience transformation'.
