In New York, marcoms group Omnicom has appointed Emily Graham as Chief Equity and Impact Officer and SVP, Diversity and Inclusion (DE&I) Communications.Omnicom's networks and firms provide advertising, media planning and buying, digital and interactive marketing, direct and promotional marketing, PR and other speciality communications services. Its portfolio also includes brand communications and research agency Hall & Partners, cultural strategy agency Flamingo, healthcare specialist Adelphi Research, and online community specialist C Space.
Graham joins from Omnicom-owned PR group FleishmanHillard, where she served as Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, leading a global taskforce that focused on DE&I as a business priority across the firm's 2,500-person network. In this role, she also launched and led True MOSAIC, a global practice dedicated to providing clients with communications counsel on DE&I matters. In her new role, Graham will lead the OPEN Leadership Team, a group of 'Diversity Champions' dedicated full-time to providing structure, support, counsel and visibility to DE&I initiatives and policies across the group. She replaces Tiffany Warren, who now serves as EVP, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Sony Music Entertainment.
Graham now reports to Omnicom Chairman and CEO, John Wren, who comments: 'Our goal is that every Omnicom agency, globally, be a pillar of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are proud to keep our efforts moving forward under Emily's leadership. She comes into this role with a fresh perspective on how we can accelerate our internal progress and best service our clients who similarly have ambitions and expectations around DE&I.'
