Technology and services analyst HFS Research has launched a cloud research practice and appointed Joel Martin as Research Vice President for Cloud Strategies.UK-based HFS aims to provide 'visionary insight into the major innovations impacting business operations' including automation, AI, Blockchain, IoT, Digital Business Models and Smart Analytics; basing its work on demand side data and engagements with industry practitioners. Martin (pictured) is based in Ottawa, Canada, and brings experience from senior roles in enterprise software across cloud, cyber security and SaaS solutions, including strategy and marketing leadership roles with Microsoft, and cybersecurity firm Crypto4A Technologies. Earlier he spent ten years with IT analyst IDC leading services, hardware and software teams across Canada, Australia and the Czech Republic. In his new role, he will manage and produce research to help IT and business leaders make crucial decisions on designing, adopting, managing and governing their portfolio of Cloud solutions.
