In the UK, former Savanta and Charterhouse execs Julie Irwin and Kate Turner have launched a specialist financial and business services MR agency called Citrine Research, with expertise in new proposition development, comms testing and thought leadership. The pair both previously worked at Next15's insight arm Savanta, before which Irwin was MD of financial MR consultancy Charterhouse Research (acquired by Next15 in 2017), with Turner serving as a Director. Earlier, they both worked at TNS NFO, and City Research.
Citrine offers a full range of customisable qual and quant techniques, and is also launching its own 'sounding board' service, Adviser Exchange, offering insight through a proprietary community of advisers and brokers. This includes a range of financial intermediaries spanning mortgages, commercial finance, wealth protection and insurance.
Turner says the business will work closely with clients to deliver 'clear, focused and valuable insight'. Irwin adds: 'We're particularly excited about launching our own adviser community. We know it is an increasingly consolidated and fragmented market, which means intermediaries are harder to reach and engage in research. Our new sounding board looks to resolve this issue and provide fast, agile access in a way that benefits both our clients and the community of advisers'.
