Broadcaster Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has promoted staff for three new roles: John Musgrove to Head of Research and Measurement; Abi Wallis to Head of Sales Insights and Campaign Strategy; and Jasmine Beech to Client Insights and Effectiveness Director.SCA reaches more than 95% of the Australian population through its radio, television and digital assets. In August, the business brought together its Research & Insights and Strategy & Insights divisions to form a media research and insights unit called SCA iQ. Then in October, it launched two digital audio attribution products - Footsteps, which attributes footfall to digital audio campaigns; and Soundcheck, which provides campaign and brand effectiveness studies for digital audio.
Musgrove, who is currently Head of Research & Insights for SCA iQ, will act as an advisor to the group's senior executive team. He will primarily be responsible for the management of the group's research communities, tools and resources to enable the creation of insights across the business, and will lead the development of a measurement capability. Wallis is currently National Head of Strategy & Insights for SCA iQ, and in her new role will oversee all centralised Sales Insights teams, including campaign strategy, client insights and effectiveness, and commercial insights. Beech currently serves as Head of Sales Research and Insights for SCA iQ, and she will continue to oversee advertiser insights leads for each state, as well as being SCA's campaign effectiveness expert.
All three report to Head of Corporate Strategy David Prime, who comments: 'The centralised hub for Research, Insights and Strategy will be SCA's 'centre of excellence' for strategy and insights. These changes will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of meaningful strategic insights across all areas of the business and ensures we are equipped to fulfill our digital audio first strategy'.
