Medallia Hires for Asia Pacific Growth

US-based customer and employee experience management firm Medallia has appointed Denise Miura as Vice President leading growth in Japan and elsewhere in Asia Pacific. She is based in Tokyo.

Denise MiuraMedallia, which has just been acquired by private equity specialist Thoma Bravo for $6.4bn, offers an SaaS platform called 'Experience Cloud' to capture 'experience signals' across interactions from voice, video and digital to IoT, social media and corporate messaging tools, with the aim of making all clients' other applications 'customer and employee aware'. The firm's operations in APAC have grown from a single market presence in Australia to five markets including New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and South Korea.

Miura (pictured) joins after seventeen years at big data provider MarkLogic, where she established operations in Japan, first as Country Manager and later as VP, Asia Pacific & Japan. Prior to this she worked for event management company Blue Martini as Director of Technical Services for the APAC region; and financial services company E*Trade as Applications Development Manager.
