US-based youth and family researcher Smarty Pants has appointed two Research Associates - Tom Foreman, based in Nashville; and Sabrina Roth in New York City.
The company, which has headquarters in Johnson City, TN and offices in seven other US cities, works on brand positioning, new product development, consumer lifestyle and trend research. Foreman joins from data collection and research services provider Schlesinger Group, where he conducted interviews for national clinical studies in the healthcare space. Prior to this he was a market research intern at singer / songwriter marketing agency Music Row 411, co-creating a global survey to uncover insights into what drives musicians and conducting an analysis of the e-gaming industry.
In his new role Foreman supports qual, quant and hybrid research across various categories and consumer segments; providing end-to-end project management and reporting for Smarty Pants' largest toy, retail, entertainment and food clients. Senior Director Emily Young comments: 'Tom is a wonderful addition to our growing team. He is passionate about market research and client service and full of consumer empathy. His contributions consistently make our client work stronger'.
Since graduating last year, Roth has held internships as a Digital Marketing Coordinator at jewellery designer Nathan & Moe, and as a PR intern at brand experience consultancy Narrative. More recently she was an Assistant Nursery School Teacher at Temple Shaaray Tefila. At Smarty Pants, Roth will tap into her background in child development and children's programming to support clients in the children's media, education and entertainment sectors. Research Director Kara Leibeskind comments: 'Sabrina brings a passion for children's media, a curious, education-first spirit, and strong foundational research experience to Smarty Pants. We are delighted to add her talent and experience to our dynamic team'.
