In the US, market and competitive intelligence provider Crayon has appointed former Meltwater exec Erica Jenkins as Chief Product Officer, to lead the company's Product team and use her experience to further develop its platform.
Founded in 2014, Boston-based Crayon uses a variety of machine learning techniques to help businesses track and analyze market movements relating to their competitors, customers and partners. The firm also produces an annual State of Competitive Intelligence Report, surveying more than 1,000 companies to uncover best practices in the field. In May, it raised $22m in new Series B funding to accelerate product development and expand its team.
Jenkins (pictured) joins from social media intelligence and analytics specialist Meltwater, where she oversaw the marketing and social media listening platform. Prior to this she co-founded social media marketing software developer Expion, later acquired by social media analytics firm Sysomos, where she was named Chief Product Officer until the firm's 2018 acquisition by Meltwater.
Crayon CEO Jonah Lopin comments: 'We're thrilled to welcome Erica as our CPO so she can help us continue to innovate and solve for the success of our customers. Erica has deeply relevant experience and an amazing track record of building great enterprise products'.
