British research tech company Walr has appointed former System1 Research exec Ben Walton as its first Chief Commercial Officer.
Walr opened at the end of 2020 and the following September acquired research tech business QuenchTec, for an undisclosed sum. The company now boasts seventy employees and offers clients a data creation platform combining access to an audience of millions with on-point data visualisation.
Walton brings more than twenty years' MR experience, from recently from the CCO role at System1 Research, and before this from GfK where he spent eight years, latterly overseeing go-to-market strategy for its AI-based prescriptive analytics solution.
Walr Co-founder and CEO Lewis Reeves says of the appointments: 'The right CCO isn't easy to come by but in Ben, we've found a breakout star with the credentials and experience we need to support our goals. We're building a depth of talent and capabilities at Walr and Ben completely shares our vision, as well as having a brilliant grounding in market research and, importantly, the vast potential of res-tech'.
