In India, consumer insights provider Hansa Research has appointed former Kantar exec Sandeep Ranade as Executive Vice President and Quantitative Head.
Hansa Research provides packaged and custom offerings for clients across a wide range of sectors, including the Cheetah in-house mobile panel. Last year, it opened an office in Bangladesh, adding to its operations in India, Germany and the USA (the latter via a stake in GCR, formerly Gartner Custom Research); as well as Singapore where it launched in early 2020.
Ranade (pictured) joins after a decade at Kantar, where he was most recently Executive Director, Co-lead West (Quantitative) and Key Account Director, Insights. Prior to this he spent nearly seven years at Kantar Millward Brown, latterly as Deputy MD - Mumbai and Regional Account Lead. Earlier, Ranade worked for Ipsos, Nielsen and IMRB, and he spent a short time client-side as Consumer Insight and Investment Manager at Heinz India.
