In the US, analytics and advisory firm Escalent has appointed Laura Lopez as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). She replaces Todd Schorr, who has retired.
The agency, which combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a visualization toolset, was formed when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged in 2018. Lopez (pictured) joins after two decades in HR and leadership positions, having most recently worked at TELUS Agriculture as VP, People and Culture. Earlier she was VP of Talent and Culture at AFS Technologies, and she worked at tech consulting firm 4th Source, leading a global team and developing automated talent acquisition programs. She has also held HR leadership positions in the hospitality, healthcare and non-profit sectors.
In her new role, she will join the company's Executive Committee and report into CEO Melissa Sauter, who comments: 'Laura is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in all facets of global HR. Escalent's success is driven by extraordinary people across the globe, and we are confident that Laura's leadership will nurture our culture and employees. We are delighted to welcome her to the team'.
