Consumer insight and sensory specialist MMR Research has hired former GfK and Nielsen exec Mihir Inamdar for a newly created role, Commercial Director, based in Singapore.
Headquartered in the UK, MMR Research also operates out of offices in China, India, Thailand, Singapore, the US, Brazil, Columbia and South Africa. The firm provides clients in the food, drink and personal care sectors with sensory research, product testing, NPD and emotion-based research.
Inamdar (pictured) joins in Singapore with more than sixteen years' experience, most recently from GfK India, where he served as Director of Market Intelligence. Before this he held various roles at Nielsen, managing global, regional and local clients in India, the UAE, Egypt, China and Malaysia; and he latterly served as Commercial Director - Retail Measurement for Malaysia.
In his new role, Inamdar will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with brands and manufacturers in Asia, while leading the expansion of the MMR suite of consulting services in the region. He reports to Mark Sismey, MD for MMR Asia, who comments: 'We are excited to have Mihir on board. Mihir's extensive experience across international markets will help brands and manufacturers in the region make the most of MMR's world class sensory and research capabilities to unlock exciting new opportunities'.
