Jon Werther has returned to NYC-based television ad targeting company Simulmedia after ten years away, to take up the newly created role of EVP Operations and Business Development. He was previously the firm's President and CRO.
Simulmedia's TV ad platform uses predictive technologies and anonymous viewing data from more than 50 million US households to help advertisers reach target audiences, and measure the results. The firm matches information about what people watch and buy with audience data for TV inventory reaching 95% of US television households.
Werther (pictured) joins from mixed martial arts body the Professional Fighters League (PFL), where he served as EVP, Strategic Partnerships & New Business Development. Before this he worked at media conglomerate Meredith Corporation, responsible for all its multiplatform national brands and management of all digital properties, video and mobile efforts, as well as consumer marketing efforts for all National Media Group brands. Earlier in his career he spent ten years in exec roles at Time Warner and its AOL division.
Dave Morgan, Simulmedia founder and CEO, comments: 'Jon is one of the most talented executives I've ever had the privilege to know and work with, beginning over fifteen years ago. I'm thrilled to welcome Jon back to the company to streamline our operations and elevate our business relationships to deliver on our TV+ platform's unique promise of cross-channel reach and results across the linear and CTV advertising ecosystem'.
