US-based cultural intelligence provider Collage Group has hired Gregory Cypes for the newly created role of Chief Product and Technology Officer, tasked with 'reimagining' its platform to focus on the intersection between software, data science and insights generation.
As well as providing cultural intelligence about diverse consumers across race and ethnicity, Collage Group develops consumer insights across generations, sexual identity and gender, with a focus on high-growth consumer segments. In July, the firm raised $25m in an inaugural round of growth capital, which it is using for investments in sales and marketing, and for continued development of its data science and technology platform.
Cypes (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience in the tech sector. Most recently, he worked for AI-powered personalization platform Optimizely as Global VP, Product, before which, he was Chief Product Officer at customer data platform Zaius (acquired by Optimizely last year). Before this, he served as CTO at relationship marketing platform Contactually, and Senior VP, Product Management at publisher personalization and audience insight provider AddThis (acquired by Oracle), having earlier spent more than eleven years in technical roles at AOL.
At Collage Group, Cypes will set up a team of engineers and product managers tasked with producing new offerings and building on the firm's consumer insights. CEO and co-founder David Wellisch comments: 'We're incredibly excited to welcome Greg to our team, as he will launch a new phase of product and technological innovation in our diverse consumer insights products. This addition marks a crucial step in our journey as a leading-edge SaaS enterprise, and enhances our capacity to support America's iconic brands in authentically engaging and winning diverse consumers.'
