Talkwalker Names New CEO

Social media monitoring platform Talkwalker has promoted Lokdeep Singh to the role of Chief Executive Officer, replacing Tod Nielsen, who has been with the company for just over a year. Singh is based in Luxembourg.

Talkwalker's platform uses AI-powered technology to monitor and analyze online conversations in real-time across social media networks, news web sites, blogs and forums in 187 languages. The firm's data visualization tool, Conversation Clusters, enables marketers, PR professionals and consumer insight analysts to uncover, understand and visualize the context around any topic.

Singh (pictured) joined in January as EVP and Chief Product Officer, before which, he was General Manager and SVP Messaging at subscriber connection software provider Synchronoss Technologies. Earlier, he led product strategy and technology innovation as Chief Product Officer at Openwave Messaging, Chief Innovation Officer at Syniverse, and CTO at MACH.

In his new role, Singh will focus on company growth, customer experience, and product innovation. He replaces Nielsen, who last year succeeded Robert Glaesener, now Chairman of Talkwalker's Board.
