Former Spotify / Meta exec Khurrum Malik has joined digital media measurement and verification firm Integral Ad Science as Chief Marketing Officer, based in New York.
IAS aims to be the global benchmark for trust and transparency in digital media quality for brands, publishers and platforms, and its MRC-approved technology promises to ensure that ads are viewable by real people, in safe and suitable environments. In the last year, the firm has announced an IPO, acquired CTV advertising platform Publica, and launched the 'first' live media quality measurement for CTV.
Malik (pictured) joins from Spotify, where he served as Head of Global Business Marketing, leading business marketing, creative, product marketing, measurement, and analytics teams within the company's advertising business. Before this, he was CMO of real estate tech platform Compass, Head of Product Marketing at Meta / Facebook, CMO of Nielsen-owned audience targeting specialist eXelate, and VP Product at Comscore, having begun his career at Microsoft.
In his new role, Malik will report to Chief Commercial Officer Yannis Dosios, who comments: 'Khurrum's impressive background and passion for technology and marketing will be instrumental to driving our go-to-market strategies and increasing awareness of our value proposition. We are excited for him to lead the marketing effort for IAS.'
