UK-based healthcare insights company Research Partnership has appointed Gareth Phillips as its new CEO, as co-founding Directors Mary Assimakopoulos and Mark Jeffery step back from the day-to-day operation of the business. They remain on the senior team as advisors.
Research Partnership, which provides custom and syndicated insights for the healthcare industry, was acquired last year by Inizio (formerly Ashfield). Headquartered in London it also has offices in New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Lyon and Singapore, employs more than 220 healthcare specialists and completes projects in more than 80 different therapeutic areas. Health and life sciences group Inizio offers a full suite of advisory, medical, marketing, communications, and patient and stakeholder engagement services.
Phillips was previously UK Managing Director and Head of EMEA for Ipsos, and has spent 25 years in healthcare market research, chiefly at IMS Health (now IQVIA) and Synovate Healthcare / Ipsos Healthcare. At Synovate, he held roles based in the US, UK and Asia, and was MD of Asia Pacific at the time of the integration into Ipsos. He then led a transformation of Ipsos' healthcare business in Europe and helped grow the team in London to more than 250 people.
In his new role he reports to Colin Stanley, President of Inizio Advisory.
Co-founder Jeffery comments: 'Gareth is a highly regarded figure in healthcare market research, and with him, we know that the company is in safe hands. We are confident that he will continue the strong growth that the company has enjoyed since its inception in 1997. We wish him every success'.
