In the UK, MR sector recruitment consultancy Daughters of Sailors has named former GfK / Kantar exec Pam Armstrong a Partner in the business.
Founded in 2020 by Sarah Penny and Inger Christensen, Daughters of Sailors works with research agencies on recruitment projects, charging a day rate rather than a placement fee. Armstrong (pictured) joined the company as a self-employed Consultant in 2021, having previously been Senior Client Director at Kantar Millward Brown. Before this, she was MD at Opinion Leader and Chime Insight & Engagement, and she spent eight years at GfK, where she latterly served as Head of BaCE (Brand and Customer Experience), having earlier been MD, Consumer & Retail.
During her time with Daughters of Sailors, Armstrong has also helped drive the MRS People and Talent programme as co-author of the report on 'Talent in the Research Sector'. Christensen comments: 'We've both worked with Pam as recruitment partners in the past and knew she'd share our values and work style. We're looking forward to strengthening our relationship with Pam as a true partner as our business continues to grow.
