Mobile app measurement and attribution platform AppsFlyer has hired mobile ad anti-fraud specialist Andreas Naumann, to help it continue fighting fraud and to aid further development of its Protect360 product suite. He is based in Berlin, Germany.
AppsFlyer offers measurement, analytics, fraud protection and engagement technologies, helping clients to build customer relationships at the same time as improving privacy. In 2021, it launched the 'Privacy Cloud', an open environment where app developers can securely collaborate and perform analysis with the aim of enhancing the end-user experience. It also offers the Protect360 suite, which protects against attribution fraud using machine learning and behavioral analysis to provide cover against known and new forms of click / install fraud - including bots and behavioral anomalies.
Naumann (pictured) joins as 'Anti-Fraud Evangelist' from mobile app measurement and marketing company Adjust, where he spent nearly seven years, most recently as Director of Fraud Prevention. Earlier he worked at ad tech firm Glispa, latterly as Director of Network Operations; before which he was Manager Traffic Quality Operations at Trademob; and Manager Network Quality Operations at Zanox. In addition, he is co-founder of the Coalition Against Ad Fraud (CAAF).
In his new role, Naumann will also focus on educational work to promote knowledge and sharing about ad fraud in mobile; and spearhead new ways to innovate on fraud detection and prevention. AppsFlyer's Gal Brill, whose title is 'General Manager, Beyond', comments: 'We are delighted that Andreas Naumann, an absolute top expert in the industry, is joining us. His experience, knowledge and perspective will help us stay ahead of the ever-evolving fraud tactics and technologies'.
