SAM Sensory and Consumer Research has appointed Pushan Tagore as Managing Director, Germany. He replaces Sebastian Graper who will focus on further developing SAM's qualitative research capabilities as International Director Qualitative and Co-Creation.
SAM operates from nineteen facilities across France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the UK, Morocco, China and the USA; and is part of life sciences group Eurofins, which provides a range of analytical testing services from a network of 900 laboratories in 61 countries. Last week, the company announced it had acquired UK-based sensory and product research specialist PPL Insights, for an undisclosed sum.
Tagore (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience across multiple MR organisations and FMCG companies. Most recently he was VP of analytics and advisory firm Escalent; before which he worked for YouGov as Research Solutions Partner for Europe; and he spent nearly a decade at GfK, latterly as Global Account Director, North America POS. Earlier he worked for Colgate-Palmolive as Consumer Insights Manager for EMEA and Russia; and he held senior roles at Nielsen.
In his new position, Tagore will work with German and international R&D and marketing teams at clients across the food, beverage, cosmetics, homecare, healthcare and automotive industries. He takes over from Graper, who joined last year after more than seventeen years at MR and innovation consultancy Happy Thinking People.
