Portugal-based media measurement platform Mediaprobe (previously known as MindProber) has appointed former Kynetec exec AJ Johnson as Chief Operating Officer, based in London.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Porto, Mediaprobe monitors the emotional impact of media content on consumers in their own homes, through in-home biometric measurement. Johnson (pictured) joins after a decade at animal health and agriculture researcher Kynetec, where he served as Executive Director, Global Operations and Innovation. Before this he worked for System 1 (formerly BrainJuicer) as Director of Innovation Technology; for Ipsos as VP of the Ipsos Open Thinking Exchange; and for more than thirteen years at Ipsos MORI, latterly as Head of Online Research. In addition, he has held an Advisory Board position with MindProber/Mediaprobe since 2018 and is an Executive Committee member of industry body the ASC.
CEO and founder Pedro Almeida comments: 'We are extremely fortunate to have AJ join us full-time as COO. The knowledge he has of our business, combined with his proven track record as a senior operational leader and multi-award-winning technology innovator, makes him the perfect fit'.
