Australian broadcaster Nine has appointed former News Corp and Foxtel exec Suzie Cardwell as Chief Data Officer.
The media group says it wants to 'leverage data as a strategic asset' across the business, improving 'consumer and commercial experiences' and identifying future opportunities.
Cardwell brings more than twenty years' experience in the sector, with a track record in leading data-driven change programs. In her new role reporting to Chief Digital Officer Alex Parsons and starting in July, she will work closely with the leadership team and all business units to shape the group's vision and strategy for data, putting it at the heart of its success.
Parsons comments: 'We are delighted to welcome Suzie as our new Chief Data Officer. Her extensive experience and strong leadership in data strategy and planning in the media market makes her the ideal candidate to drive our data strategy. We believe that her expertise will play a pivotal role in optimising our operations and enhancing our consumer and commercial engagement across all of our digital platforms'.
