AURA, the UK's association of clientside researchers, has a new Chair: Ruth Hinton has replaced Tim Steere who has led the organisation for four years.
AURA focuses on events and networking, exclusively for clientside research and insight teams at firms such as Sky, NatWest, Lego and ASOS, running more than twenty events each year. Steere is credited with guiding it through the pandemic, a rebrand, a huge expansion of its events programme and the development of the AURA Awards which recognise and promote industry talent. He remains one of the association's five volunteer Directors, to oversee finances on behalf of the Council.
Hinton says of her appointment: 'I have been a member of AURA for many years myself, and this is a great team and a great community. Tim has done an amazing job as Chair and we'd like to thank him for his long and continuing service to AURA.
'Our vision as a team is to build on his great work and keep AURA doing what it does best: inspiring insight with high quality content and events, plus friendly networking and advice, exclusively for clientside insight and research teams - for another 20 years and beyond, including in additional new and interesting ways'.
