In the US, MR and consulting firm The Martec Group has appointed Beth Heiss as New Business Development Executive.

Established in the 1980s, The Martec Group offers custom research and consulting and aims to give clients a deeper understanding of product and service offerings, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and market dynamics. The firm employs more than 90 consultants and researchers.

Heiss worked as a business developer earlier in her career, in marketing and sales roles at Valassis (now Vericast) from 1998 to 2007. Since then she has been working in higher education, most recently as Department Chair of Management & Marketing and Assistant Professor Of Management & Marketing at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Company President Rick Claar says Heiss is 'an amazing collaborator, team player and excellent communicator with a remarkable passion for creating relationships and applying optimal research methods to client business challenges'.
