In California, real-time data streaming and messaging solutions firm DiffusionData has appointed Andy Peet as CFO.
The company was founded in 2006, has offices in London and Silicon Valley and was formerly known as Push Technology. Its Intelligent Data Framework, also known as Diffusion, pulls in large or small volumes of raw data, enhances it and distributes it across enterprises, giving appropriate levels of access to different groups. The technology promises clients in sectors such as financial services, eGaming, retail, travel and transportation, health and digital media faster, data-driven application development, operating efficiencies and hyper-personalized data delivery.
Peet has more than 25 years of experience, including CFO roles at Altia, sales-i and MHR. These have given him considerable experience leading and managing change in multi-site businesses; developing and implementing systems to maximise operational control and deliver commercial value; and leading major cost rationalisation programs. Peet says his new role will include helping the company to achieve ambitions to increase its presence in financial services, build on growth in the cloud and expand further into the Americas.
CEO Grethe Brown says of the hire: 'Andy has a very impressive background in helping companies achieve their potential and I'm sure he will continue to excel at DiffusionData. His financial and business experience, commercial acumen and leadership qualities will be vital in helping us implement our growth strategy and achieve our business goals, particularly in the financial services sector'.
The firm, which a month ago filled the role of COO by promoting Neil Seymour, formerly Head of Engineering, is online at www.diffusiondata.com .
