New York-based customer engagement and CXM platform Emplifi, which grew out of the merger of Astute and Socialbakers, has appointed Ohad Hecht as its new CEO.
Formed in 2021 from the merger of VoC platform Astute and social media monitoring and marketing specialist Socialbakers, Emplifi has since secured investment valuing it at more than $1 billion and launched an integrated customer data analysis and presentation solution called Unified Analytics, under its first CEO Mark Zablan, whose next move is not known to DRNO at this point. Hecht took over from 1st January as the company 'transitions from 'build-mode' into an accelerated growth phase', according to a statement.
Hecht brings experience of working in Asia-Pacific, Israel, Europe and North America, and joins from eCommerce personalization solution Prodport, which he co-founded and led as CEO. He was also COO and then CEO for Emarsys, an omnichannel customer engagement SaaS platform with 13 global offices and 850 employees which was acquired in 2020 by SAP. He holds a BA in Management and Marketing from The Open University of Israel and an MBA from Northern Iowa University.
In his new role he says he plans to further embrace AI in Emplifi's products; continually enhance features with automation and integrations; and support the end-to-end customer experience. Iveshu Bhatia, who is MD of Emplifi's majority investor, private equity firm Audax Group, describes Hecht as 'the perfect leader' at this stage in the firm's evolution, adding: 'His wealth of experience leading teams across three different continents while building inclusive workforce cultures that attract top talent from all over the world is just what Emplifi needs to move smoothly from build-mode into growth-mode'.
