Eponymous online survey firm SurveyMonkey has promoted Jing Huang to VP, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Katie Miserany to SVP and Chief Communications Officer, and Craik Pyke to VP, Infrastructure and Security Engineering. The firm now boasts gender equality at both the C-Suite and VP levels.
The company says the promotions recognize outstanding leadership following a 'transformational year' in which it returned to its original name following its acquisition by STG; launched AI-generated surveys; and announced a new forms solution.
Huang will lead continued investment and drive developments in AI-powered survey creation. She joined the company in 2017 and currently leads the machine learning engineering team. Her previous experience includes six years at Cisco Systems for six years, focusing on security, cloud management and big data infrastructure, and she holds a BS in Electric Science and Technology, an MS in Robotics, and an MS in Computer Science.
Miserany (pictured) will now be part of the SurveyMonkey C-Suite alongside Becky Cantieri, CPO; Robin Ducot, CTO; and Michelle Leung, SVP, General Counsel and Secretary. In her new role she leads the firm's commitment to delivering an outstanding employee experience and driving meaningful customer communications. With SurveyMonkey since 2019, she currently leads all communications functions, including public relations, internal communications and analyst relations. Her previous career includes marketing and communications roles at Worthwhile Digital, the Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation, RelateIQ (acquired by Salesforce), Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Tiny Prints (acquired by Shutterfly). She has a BA in English.
Pyke will lead the technology tools strategy for SurveyMonkey's engineering organization. He joined the firm in 2018 and to date has overseen the financial drivers of AI innovation as well as data storage, search, security, messaging and observability capabilities. Before joining he held security and software engineering roles at a number of startups, and worked at Entrust Inc. and Nortel Networks Inc. He holds a BSc in Computer Science.
CEO Eric Johnson comments: 'Jing, Katie, and Craik are brilliant leaders committed to helping our customers leverage authentic insights to make faster, smarter decisions with confidence. With their proven record of high-performance leadership and innovation through a year of immense change, they are uniquely positioned to help amplify diverse voices and empower our customers to delight their own'.
