Ad measurement firm VideoAmp has appointed three senior members for its Commercial Growth team: Amy Madden as SVP Revenue and Growth; Jeff Schmidt as SVP of Advertisers; and Conor Burgess as VP of Agency Partnerships.
Founded in 2014VideoAmp is headquartered in Los Angeles and New York with offices across the US, and was busy in 2023 striking deals with Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, AMG, dentsu and YouTube boosting its bid to provide an alternative measurement currency to Nielsen - it also raised $150m in growth funding in September. In January this year it announced that founder Ross McCray would step down as CEO, while reports suggested it would cut around 20% of its staff. Earlier this month it received a boost when the US 'Joint Industry Committee' (JIC) awarded it full certification.
Madden (pictured top) joins after a year at PwC where she served as Tech & Media Consulting Client Relationship Director, and previously spent fifteen years at Nielsen, rising from sales and client solutions roles to VP Business Development working on a Global Growth Partnership with Google. In her new role she will lead VideoAmp's Agency team, working closely with agencies to develop and execute integrated advertising campaigns for their clients.
Schmidt (pictured middle) joins directly from Nielsen where he was SVP of Advertisers, and in his new role will be responsible for growing and optimizing VideoAmp's go-to market strategy, particularly with direct relationships into key brand advertisers.
Burgess (pictured below) joins from data firm Acxiom, where he spent five years, latterly in a VP Bus Dev role - earlier he spent seven years at Nielsen and one at Kantar. He reports directly to Madden.
Both Madden and Schmidt will report directly to Chief Commercial and Growth Officer Pete Bradbury, who comments: 'We are thrilled to welcome this talented group of well-known industry leaders to our growing and competitive Commercial Growth leadership team. Their deep expertise and proven track records of success will be instrumental in helping us deliver even more value to our clients, which, in turn, will drive and enable our commercial expansion across the industry'.
VideoAmp's says the appointments 'underscore its commitment to building a world-class Commercial Growth organization and delivering the best possible results for its clients'. The hires follow the recent promotion of Aaron Lilly to SP of Client Success, and the appointment of former Comscore man Adam Bush as VP of Sales, Local Markets.
