Ipsos has appointed Mary Ann Packo as its CEO in North America, a position she held for Millward Brown and Kantar between 2002 and 2020.
Packo, who now reports to Global CEO Ben Page and joins the Group Management Committee, brings nearly thirty years' experience in market research and has particular expertise in brand building, marketing, advertising, consumer research, digital measurement and advisory services.
She joins from insights, strategy and design agency Hypothesis Group where she was a Senior Partner, but worked for Kantar for eighteen years previously - between 2015 and 2020 she was CEO of Kantar Insights North America and then CEO of Kantar Gold Rush, where she worked closely with major Tech players.
Early in her career she worked for two companies in which Ipsos held an interest. She moved to Paris in 1995 as Executive Director of a consumer goods research joint venture, in which Ipsos and US researcher NFO were the shareholders; then returned to the States where she worked until 2001 as President and COO of Media Metrix, of whose European subsidiary Ipsos and GfK were shareholders. She holds Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and serves as a member of the ARF Board of Directors.
