Minnetonka, MN-based full service custom researcher SIVO has announced that CEO and co-founder Cindy Blackstock will step down, with former SVP Client Experience Julie Rose promoted to fill the CEO role.
Founded in 2010 by Blackstock and Chief Innovation Officer Marilyn Weiss, SIVO focuses on understanding people, and the needs and beliefs that drive their behavior, to help drive clients' business growth and innovation.
Blackstock (pictured above) worked for eight and a half years at Kimberly-Clark, initially as a Materials Development Scientist and latterly as a Global Senior Product Manager, before leaving to work as an independent consultant - she did this for seven years and set up SIVO with Weiss during the last of these. She will now sell her ownership in the company, but stay directly involved with it for around a year, in the temporary role of Chief Growth Officer, ensuring a smooth transition before retiring.
Weiss remains in-role as CIO and 'as the owner of SIVO, is committed to being a steady force supporting its future' - according to the firm's announcement, made via the Insights Association.
Rose (pictured below) has served on the company's leadership team for six years, has a deep understanding of its operations and growth opportunities, and has served as the architect and driving force of the firm's On Demand Talent Solution. She comments: 'We are so incredibly grateful to Cindy for her dedication and inspiration, which has been instrumental in building our strong culture and shaping SIVO into the insights industry leader it is today. As we embark on this new chapter, we're laser-focused on providing exceptional service and delivering meaningful insights that drive action for our clients'.
