More Growth for Smarty Pants

US insight agency Smarty Pants has appointed former Material+ senior associate and CBS art coordinator Hannah Hutchinson at analyst level as an 'Insights Whiz', joining five other new arrivals this quarter.

Hannah HutchinsonShe joins from Material+ in NYC, where she specialized in qualitative and quantitative research in the entertainment, healthcare and hospitality sectors. Earlier, she worked at CBS as an art coordinator for 'The Drew Barrymore Show'; and she has worked as a documentary filmmaker. Hutchinson holds a double major in film production and historical studies from Bard College, and also spent a year in AmeriCorps.

In her new role, based in Brooklyn, she will play a key support role for the firm's clients in the children's toy, food & beverage, and media sectors, including planning and execution of qual, quant and mixed-method research, as well as insights development and trend identification.

Emily Arbour, who joined the firm three years ago as an RM as is now an Insights Genius, says of the new arrival: 'Hannah is a smart, savvy researcher with experience working across a variety of methodologies. On Wednesday Smarty Pants announced the arrival of another former Material+ employee, Terry Cudmore to lead custom research initiatives for clients in the healthcare and video game sectors.
